Types of services: Trace and ultra-trace elements in water, effluents, sediments, soils, plants, rocks, and ores

The equipment was acquired on October 5, 2010. The inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) was installed in February 2011, and the laser ablation (LA) system was installed in May 2011.

The ICP-MS enables the analysis of trace and ultra-trace elements in water, effluents, sediments, soils, plants, rocks, and ores after prior dissolution. It also allows elemental and isotopic analysis of solid samples, such as minerals, when combined with laser ablation (LA-ICP-MS).
