Types of services: Determination of crystallographic calculations and quantitative analysis of mineral phases in geological materials
The X-ray Diffractometry Laboratory is located in the Department of Geology (DEGEO) at UFOP. It is focused on the analysis of solid crystalline powder materials and works mainly on the identification of the constituent phases of rocks, as well as industrial materials, such as ceramics, cements, pharmaceuticals, and others. It is a multi-user laboratory that, in addition to meeting the institution's internal demands, also works with industry and other universities nationwide.
